I gave my daughter Louise, born 1972, the seven Flower Fairy books when she was little. I can’t remember back then how I got to know about them. I found them absolutely delightful then, but she turned out not to be a ‘fairy person’ and at some stage gave them back to me.
Recently I reread the 1997 book published by Frederick Warne, the Complete book of the Flower Fairies which Louise gave to me as a Christmas present some years ago. On the back flap I found a ‘Flower Fairies of the Winter’ which had been created in 1985 from the existing works so there would be a book for every season. So I purchased ‘Flower Fairies of the Winter’ (2018) and am still enchanted by Cicely Mary Barker’s work.
I then purchased further copies of ‘Spring’, ‘Summer’ and ‘Autumn’ in the same series so I would have the current books for all the seasons.
Looking once more in the Flower Fairies shop online I couldn’t resist buying the current ‘Complete Book of the Flower Fairies’ (2016) too. I eagerly look forward to the following being republished:

‘Trees’
‘Wayside’
‘Alphabet’
In the 2018 format.
Is there any chance that this will happen?
